Using Hubble Space Telescope data taken over the July 1994 to June 1996 time period, the zonal winds were measured in the 10-25 deg. planetographic latitude range. These results were studied to look for any small variations in the ambient zonal winds (the winds are known to be stable over long time periods from Voyager studies) and to compare these results with longitudinal structure which indicate the presence of wave structure. The HST results are constrained to variations greater than 10 m/sec due to spatial resolution. These results are contrasted with Voyager data where wave structure is definitely present. This study will be expanded to include Galileo data, which will offer better velocity resolution and help to define the nature of the wave structures in these regions.
