In the one-perturber approach, free-bound and free-free transitions contribute to absorption in the wings of atomic lines perturbed by collisions. The calculations include all the molecular transitions correlated respectively to the H(n=2)+H(n=1) and H(n=3)+H(n=1) states and take into account the variation of the transition moments (with their sign) as functions of the internuclear distance. The temperature variation of the absorption coefficient is studied.
