Magnetic fields play a crucial role in the phenomena related to solar and stellar activity. However the determination of magnetic fields in astrophysical plasma is very often a difficult task, which relies on spectro-polarimetric methods. The PNST (Programme National Soleil-Terre) supports the collaboration of several groups investigating solar magnetic fields with various methods. I present some results recently obtained by PNST groups using dedicated instruments, such as THEMIS.
