On 14 January 2005, the Huygens probe descended under a parachute into Titan's atmosphere and successfully landed on its icy surface. This event is the first landing in the outer Solar System and the furthest from the Earth. Starting at about 150 km altitude, the six multi-function instruments collected data during the descent and after landing, providing a detailed picture of Titan's atmosphere and surface. A summary of the early data analysis is presented.
