The 3.2 and 10 cm microwave burst data for the period covering January to December, 1979, indicates upon analysis that peak flux density increases by more than 50 percent in the 25 bursts studied. Also noted are oscillations on the preburst curves of all 25 bursts, with periods of from a few sec to ten sec and an amplitude of about 1 percent of the undisturbed component. Such oscillation usually precedes a burst by a few hours or a few days, although in the case of an exceptional burst it will disappear for tens of minutes or a few hours before the burst. It may also occur without such a disappearance in smaller, impulsive, and short, complex bursts. These oscillating characteristics are suggested to be a process of energy accumulation in the flare region.
