We report the discovery of a new Class 0 protostellar source associated with the IRAS source 23011+6126 in the Cep E molecular cloud. Observations in the ^12^CO(2-1) and the SiO(3-2) lines show evidence for a very young outflow (~3x10^3^yr) emanating from the IRAS source. Extreme high-velocity wings are observed in the ^12^CO(2-1) line: they reach out to -125km/s and +80km/s relative to the ambient gas in the blue and red-shifted lobes respectively. Millimetre continuum observations at 1.25mm reveal a strongly peaked source surrounded by a massive envelope of 18Msun_ with a luminosity of ~100Lsun_. Comparison of the millimetre emission with H_2_ data suggests that the outflow is in the course of sweeping up the parental envelope.
