We report on 2-MASS archival data analyses of the field of IGR J16283-4838 (Atel #456, 458, 459). A clear source is detected in the 2-MASS All-Sky Quicklook image archive (with name 2MASS J16281083-4838560) in the K band at a position consistent with the X-ray position obtained with the SWIFT-XRT detector (Atel #459), while only lower limits are obtained in the J and H bands.
