The Campocatino Astronomical Observatory (Italy) recently started a new project: installing a 50 cm, fully robotic telescope in the Atacama desert (Chile), where the most important observatories of the world (like the VLT) are located. This scope will perform Near-Earth Object searches and other observations under excellent sky conditions. We briefly present the project, as well as its scientific goals.
