We have obtained the most complete data set of far-infrared photometry of a sample of 37 archetypal and bright ultra-luminous galaxies. For the first time the maximum in their spectral energy distribution can be clearly seen. Assuming a grain emissivity proportional to λ-1, the spectral energy distributions can be described in first order by a superposition of two dust components with temperature ranges between 100 and 165 K and between 30 and 55 K, respectively. No very cold dust component of temperatures ~ 15 K, as found in more normal galaxies, is needed. There is no correlation between the temperatures of both components, implying that the heating mechanisms are independent.
