This paper reviews the latest efforts to identify flaring, fading, or quiescent counterparts to classical gamma-ray bursters. Most of these efforts, which strive for lower flux detection limits and more rapid follow-up, have been concentrated at optical wavelengths. However, many new results have also been obtained at radio, infrared, EUV, and X-ray energies. Recent deep quiescent surveys at optical and infrared wavelengths are reviewed along with efforts to correlate classes of astronomical objects with GRB localizations. New results on optical transients and how they might be related to the GRB phenomenon are also discussed. Detection efforts for VHE/UHE photons, UHE cosmic rays, and neutrinos and muons are reviewed along with the distance scales implied by these results. Finally, a brief overview of future projects and their possible impacts is presented.
