The theory of multivariate error analysis is used to discuss the expression of covariance matrix of computed satellite position with astronomical method. The relation between the accuracy and the relative positions of the reference stars with respect to satellite, and that between the accuracy and the position of satellite synthetic points in the interpolation segment are discussed. The estimated formulas are derived.
