From an analysis of a large sample of B-type main sequence stars we derived the galactic rotation constant A, which turned out to be smaller than the commonly accepted value of 15km/s/kpc. This result agrees with that of other recent papers. Analysing the problem we found that the fault lies with the absolute magnitude calibration of early B-type. We have revised the calibration according to the results of Luri (1995) and found that now the galactic rotation constant comes back to the classic value.
