An extended set of radial velocity measurements of the bright spectroscopic binary γ CrB is analysed. In contradiction to the variations observed in 1992/94, the star shows pure irregular variations with periods of activity and intervals of constant radial velocity. An underlying and previously unknown long-term variation with a time scale of about 200days is evident, but cannot be attributed to any known properties of the star.
