Scientific paper

The paper examines the brightness distribution over the visible disk of the moon constructed for 26 lunar phases based on observations from the interplanetary stations Zond-3, Zond-6, and Apollo-13. The 'effect of opposition' was investigated and the true normal values were obtained; the values of the photometric function in the system 'true full moon' were obtained. From these data, the spatial scattering indicatrix was derived; the average photometric function reproduces the brightness dependence of mare and highland features under the photometric heterogeneity of about 5%.
