Increases in particle fluxes - electrons with energy Ee ≥ 40 keV and protons in various energy intervals - recorded onboard the Prognoz-3 satellite in 1973 are analyzed. Data on the parameters of the solar wind, interplanetary magnetic field, and galactic cosmic ray fluxes were also used. Most of the increases were of flare origin. High-speed solar wind fluxes and significant changes in the magnetic field parameters were observed during solar cosmic ray increases, independent of their origin. Structural formations of the interplanetary medium during solar cosmic ray increases are similar for increases related and unrelated to flares. It is shown that during flare-related increases, the structure of the interplanetary medium was shaped by two processes on the Sun. The first is not directly related to the flare, but to the appearance and development of active centers on the Sun, the appearance of coronal formations, and their ejection into the interplanetary medium. The second process is caused by the flare itself and a series of post-flare phenomena occurring on the Sun and in the interplanetary medium. Ejection of coronal material and the generation of charged particles occur in each of these processes. The problem of ejections of coronal material which are not of flare origin is discussed. It is shown that two Forbush decreases are produced as a result of this complication of the structure of the interplanetary medium during a flare-related increase.
