Spectrophotometric and photographic observations of IC 4329 A show that this Seyfert galaxy has reduced dimensions D x d equals (13.6 x 7.6) kpc and a high luminosity with a photographic magnitude equal to 20.2. The nucleus is stratified in the three zones: first, a region where the wide components of the Balmer lines are formed having an electron density of approximately 10 to the 9th/cu cm and a velocity dispersion of approximately 5000 km/sec; second, a region where the forbidden lines and the shorter wavelength peak of the Balmer lines are formed, characterized by an electron temperature of approximately 12,000 K and an electron density of approximately 10 to the 6th/cu cm; finally, the longer wavelength peak of the Balmer lines originates in a gas cloud receding from the nucleus with a radial velocity of 2100 km/sec.
