Some of the problems connected with the Tunguska event are discussed. It is pointed out that many are due to the fact that the first expedition arrived to the site 19 years after the event and that the instrumental equipment of this and later expeditions has been very limited. Various authors have also quoted incorrect statements, which have led to further confusion. The final part of the article reports on the "adventures" of the 1990 Onsala Space Observatory expedition to this exotic place in central Sibiria.
