Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) is the project to make a map of the
northern sky in visible wavelengths. The database system of SDSS
utilizes the current information technology to handle its massive data
volume. SDSS SkyServer provides internet access to the public SDSS data
for both astronomers and for science education.
