Based on the 60/90cm Schmidt telescope of National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NAOC), we obtained a deep image of the edge-on galaxy NGC 4565. We analyze the faint outer parts of this galaxy using a two-dimensional model comprised of three components: a thin disk, a thick disk and a power-law halo. The very deep image permits a better determination of the power law fit to the halo, with a best fit value of r-3.88.
