Degradation in the core images of ellipticals caused by seeing and various sources of scattering is modeled by convolving King models of c = 2.25 and 2.75 with four point-spread functions the latter all have the same Gaussian core but differ in their exponential wings. The apparent core radius and central dimming of the convolved models are tabulated as functions of the true core radius. The results indicate that in general the seeing corrections depend sensitively on the wings of the point-spread function. Implications for high-resolution photometry of elliptical cores are discussed.
