Using values of the e-type neutrino rest mass (between 14 and 46 eV) claimed by Lyoubimov et al. (1980), constraints on leptonic asymmetry via the degeneracy parameter (xi) and on the cosmological constant are presented. Limits obtained on xi (less than 3.5) are more stringent than those previously obtained from helium or deuterium abundance (xi less than 20). It is also shown that, regardless of the value of xi, high neutrino masses favor spatially closed models of the universe in the infinite expansion with positive cosmological constant.
