Observations of (C-12)O(2-1) emission in the dust lane of Centaurus A show that, except for the center region, the overall distribution and kinematics of the molecular gas is consistent with that of ionized gas. Deconvolution of the observed emission reveals (i) a structure agreeing with what would be seen from gas confined to a 115 pc thick nearly edge-on warped disk with a rotation curve similar to that of H-alpha, and (ii) emission which appears to originate from an edge-on circumnuclear ring with a radius of about 100 pc, and a rotational velocity of 220 km/s. The inferred central dynamical mass amounts to 1.4 x 10 exp 9 solar masses. The mass of the central high velocity ring is only that of a large molecular cloud 6 x 10 exp 6 solar masses. There is neither a hint of a ring nor of high velocity motion in the central ionized gas. The ring is perpendicular to the radio jet, suggesting that it is associated with or feeding an inner accretion disk responsible for the jet.
