A method of classical analysis of meteor radiation is presented taking into account nonradiative transitions from the excitation levels of the meteor plasma. It is shown that deactivation and reactivation of the excited levels of the meteor atoms induced by inelastic collisions of the second type are characterized by the corresponding changes of the relative intensities of lines along the meteor path.
