The paper considers radiative transfer in a semiinfinite medium for the Rayleigh scattering law and for true absorption. Linear integral equations obtained earlier (Sobolev, 1944, 1956) are used to find the intensities of the radiation emerging from the medium. The equations are then solved for the various positions of the energy sources within the medium. Finally, the degree of polarization of the radiation is determined and tabulated.
