Galaxy Mergers, Collisions, And Tidal Interactions, Classification And Classification Systems, Starburst Galaxies And Infrared Excess Galaxies
Scientific paper
Using an HST imaging survey, we have devised a morphological
classification scheme for ULIRGs. We have used the results to uncover
evidence for a multiple-merger origin for a significant fraction of the
ULIRG population.
