SNR G22.7-0.2 is a well-resolved shell (26' in diameter), observed in a large multi-wavelength dataset. It is possibly in interaction with the adjacent SNR G23.3-0.3, with likely consequences for high-energy particle production. These circumstances make this SNR a good candidate for a detailed study in the keV band, which is still missing. We propose a full coverage of the SNR shell with emph{XMM-Newton}, to complete the characterization of its parameters, starting with its age and distance, as well as to map the properties of non-thermal particles around its shell and study the proposed SNR-SNR interaction region.
