On the basis of the observations made at Zvenigorod the measured average seasonal variations of the population of the fifth vibrational level and the vibrational temperature of OH molecules seasonal variations of the populations of the levels with V' = 1 to V' = 9, and the total energy of the hydroxyl emission, have been obtained. In Summer, at a time when heights above 70 km are fully sunlit during the whole day, the total energy of the OH emission and the intensity of the bands from the lower vibrational levels are maximum while in Winter they are minimum. The intensities of the bands from the upper vibrational levels are minimum in Summer and maximum in Winter. From these data the hydroxyl emission diurnal variations were obtained and are compared with the data of direct measurements.
