In this work the properties of transport of ions accelerated at the solar wind termination shock are studied. The approach used to investigate the propagation of those particles is probabilistic and is based on the analysis of particle time profiles upstream of the shock front. The data sets come from the Voyager 2 spacecraft and involve 0.22-3.5 MeV ions. At variance with other observations of ion profiles, at such heliocentric distances (~=84 AU) the transport of ions is found to be superdiffusive, their mean square deviation growing as <Δx2>~tα, with α>1. As already found for electrons, these findings show that also for energetic ions the transport can be intermediate between normal and scatter-free, an evidence that has implications on the formulation of particle acceleration mechanisms.
