VLBA H2O Maser and VLA NH3 Observations of the Early B Protostar G192.16--3.84

We report the results of H2O maser observations and NH3 (1,1) line observations toward the massive protostar G192.16--3.84. H2O maser detections provide evidence for the presence of a collimated jet 1'' North of G192.16. NH3(1,1) observations show optically thin, extended emission around G192.16 with a mass of ˜ 0.3 Msun. We discover a compact NH3 core 30'' South of G192.16. No previous mm or cm continuum emission has been detected in this Southern core implying a possible pre-protostellar core and the next site of active star formation in this region. We find no evidence for the 1000 AU circumstellar molecular torus centered on G192.16 as suggested in previous studies.
