We are currently conducting a small observational survey of protostars with outflows, at different evolutionary stages, using the Owens Valley Radio Observatory Millimeter Array (OVRO-MMA). This survey aims to understand the mass assembling process in nascent stars, as well as the evolution of the interaction between stellar outflows and the infalling dense circumstellar envelope. Here we present the results of the multi-molecular line study of one of the sources in our survey --the protostar IRAS 20582+7724 in the L1228 dark cloud. Our OVRO-MMA data enable us to probe the structure and kinematics of the L1228 molecular outflow and the circumstellar envelope, as well as the outflow-envelope interaction at scales of less than 0.01 pc. Our 12CO(1-0) and 13CO(1-0) observations of the L1228 outflow reveal that this Class I protostar is powering an outflow with a clear wide-angle morphology. In addition, the morphology and the kinematics of the HCO+(1-0), HNC(1-0), and CS(2-1) emission are consistent with a picture where the outflow has constrained the infall region to a limited volume outside the outflow lobes. We speculate that if the L1228 outflow lobes continue widening, they could eventually halt the infall process. We acknowledge the support from the NSF grant AST-0228955.
