A simple automatic servo-system is described that automatically keeps a star under study at the center of the field of view over extended exposure times. Two separate loops for the right ascension and declination correction are provided. For converting the luminous power of the reference star into electric current, two ultrasensitive photodiodes with two operational amplifiers with high input impedance are used.
