The Multiband Imaging Photometer for SIRTF (MIPS) is the longest-wavelength instrument on SIRTF. It can perform broad-band imaging at 24, 70 and 160 microns, and low-resolution spectroscopy between 52 and 99 microns. This poster will describe some tools for planning your own observations with MIPS, including examples for using SPOT (SIRTF Planning Observations Tool), as well as strategies for making the most of your observations using the very latest information learned on-orbit. Proposals will be due in mid-February!
