Spectra of the Mg II h and k lines emitted by different regions in the solar atmosphere have been recorded by the NRL slit spectrograph on Skylab. The spectral resolution is 0.12 A, and the spatial resolution is 2 by 60 arcsec. Several examples are presented, including spectra of a chromospheric supergranulation cell boundary and interior and of a quiet-sun region above the limb, as well as selected active-region spectra on the disk and above the limb. Obvious differences among these spectra are noted and qualitatively discussed.
