A general theory is developed for the asymptotic (in the limit where time tends to infinity) distribution in space of an ensemble of particles which disperses from a point. The theory is used to obtain the spatial density for, and asymptotic domain occupied by, particles in Keplerian orbits, which disperse anisotropically from an elliptical orbit. The theory is also used to determine the asymptotic domain occupied by particles orbiting an oblate primary.
