Hot ultrashort-period Cepheid variables form a spherical distribution having little concentration on the Galactic plane. They are observed in both globular clusters and moving stellar groups. On the color-magnitude diagram they are located near to and left of the hotter edge of the Cepheid instabilities. Their temperature is thus greater than that of other types of pulsating variables. Three known hot Cepheids located in globular clusters are found to be metal deficient and to have an extended spherical distribution in the Galaxy.
