Two-component pitch angle distributions of electrons in Jupiter's radiation belt which yield the observed degree of linear polarization at the magnetic equator and the observed beaming of the total intensity are derived from radio observations. The model derived from the radio data is compared with Pioneer space probe observations, showing an apparent conflict: in the radio data model only 29% of the electrons at the magnetic equator are in the flat-helix component whereas according to Pioneer data the flat-helix component contains 75% of the electrons.
