Some observational aspects of the Magellanic Stream are briefly reviewed touching on emission nebulosity, stars and dust, the radio continuum, and H I emission. The tidal theory of the origin of the Stream, namely that the Stream was pulled out of the Clouds by tidal forces produced by a close encounter with our Galaxy is discounted. Another theory, namely that the gas clouds of the Stream are primordial and in the same orbit as the Magellanic Clouds, is given support. Recent papers on dwarf galaxies, globular clusters, and high velocity H I streams in the Magellanic plane are discussed.
