We report the first unambiguous detection of X-ray emission from the cluster of galaxies surrounding the radio-quiet QSO E1821+643. ROSAT PSPC observations show that the cluster is highly luminous, L_x~10^45 erg s^-1, as would be expected from the high Abell richness class (>=2) seen in optical studies. The cluster is expected to contribute an iron line of apparent equivalent width 20-142 eV to the integrated spectrum.
