By extending the pulsation concept of the inner gaps to the outer gaps, the optical radiation from the Crab pulsar using the inverse Compton scattering mechanism is analyzed. To further verify this analysis a theoretical fit for the optical spectrum of the Crab pulsar is presented. The theoretical curves obtained can well fit the observed one and shows the mechanism to be reasonable.
