I TRUST that the great majority of naturalists will read with approval
the following sentence in Sir George Hampson's paper on
``Pyralidæ,'' published in the Proceedings of the Zoological
Society, 1918 (p. 55):-``No quotations from German authors published
since August, 1914, are included. `Hostes humani generis.'''
