The rich spectrum of the slow nova RR Telescopii contains several strong unidentified lines. The possibility is re-examined that some of these lines are due to forbidden transitions of [Ni iv]. Success is partial but the new identifications include four strong lines (λλ5363, 5288, 5060, 5042) from the multiplet a4F-a2G.
