The effects of rotation and a tidal force on the periods of nonradial oscillations have been investigated. For the rotational effect, assuming uniform rotation, the terms up to the order of the square of the rotational angular frequency are included. For the tidal effect, rotation is assumed to be synchronous with the orbital motion. This analysis is then applied to a polytropic star. The second-order rotational effect and the tidal effect break the well-known equidistant separation of pulsation frequencies which arises in first order. Numerical results have been compared with the multiperiod Beta Cephei stars 12 Lac, 16 Lac, and Beta-CMa. It is found that in some cases the second-order effect is significant.
