UV Copernicus spectrum scans of the Hg Mn star Alpha Andromedae show line strength variations with a period of 0°.96363162. In addition, short period radial velocity variations for the three strong Si II lines at λλ1193.284, 1260.418, and 1309.274 have been found. A number of spectral features indicate the possibility of an extended atmosphere by additional blueshifted absorption components.
