Results of the UBVJHKLM observation of FG Sge are presented. It is shown that stellar energy distribution in the region from V to K during the entire time of observation was similar to that of a supergiant of the spectral class F8-G2I, which contradicts the optical data. A dust cloud was located around the star with an approximate temperature of 1000 K and a mass of 10 to the -10th solar mass. JKVU light curves are found to have a period of 108 d. Period and light curve shapes are found to be unstable. It is noted that the cooling phase of FG Sge is nearing an end and that in the near future the star may begin to move to the left on the H-R diagram.
