The problem of galaxy formation and galaxy clustering is discussed on the basis of Burgers' equation. Analytical relations are obtained for galaxy mass and velocity distributions for 1D, 2D and 3D cases. These results have been illustrated by several 1D numerical simulations. Numerical results are shown in comparison with theoretical expressions. The connection between the theory of hierarchical clustering and Burgers' approach. and the possibility of using such an approach for the analysis of galaxy formation in unstable dark matter models, are discussed. Theoretical results are compared with the observable luminosity function of galaxies.
