We study spectral evolution in Chandra ACIS observations of bright ejecta knots in Cassiopeia A to better understand how these coherent masses of plasma interact with shocks and physically change over time. Over a decade of outstanding Chandra observations has provided us with four widely spaced epochs of data over which to study evolution of the supernova remnant in the X-ray band. We present our findings of how modeled plasma parameters fit to the spectral data, such as temperature and non-equilibrium ionization age, have changed over the decade of observation of the few hundred year old remnant, as well as how these parameters correlate with the estimated time since each coherent knot has interacted with a shock. We also present high-resolution dispersed data, taken with the Chandra HETG to complement the ACIS observations, yielding unique low-density plasma measurements.
