We present the first X-ray study of low power Compact Steep Spectrum (CSS) radio sources using Chandra ACIS-S. These sources represent an early stage of the radio source evolution and are still contained inside their host galaxy. The X-ray emission of these sources could break the current degeneracy in the evolution scenarios of radio galaxies. We follow evolution of their X-ray properties by investigating correlations between (1) the radio and X-ray luminosity, (2) and the absorption column and the radio source size. We study their X-ray morphology and look for an extended emission.
