CCD spectra of 32 Trojan asteroids (wavelength, 4000-7400A; resolution, 20 A) were obtained for comparison with the existing cometary nucleus spectra in order to study the nucleus-Trojan interrelationship. The reflectivity gradients of the comet nuclei are found to fall within the range defined by the Trojan asteroids, enhancing the resemblance between the two groups of objects. Both Trojan asteroids and the nuclei are elongated objects, mantled with low albedo, reddish, probably carbon-rich material.
