Optical polarimetric observations of the blazars PKS 0521-365 and PKS 0537-441 are presented for one week in November 1986. Both objects showed day-to-day variations of linear polarization, reaching up to 8 percent. PKS 0521-365 exhibited a preferred position angle, with a mean component of P = 6 percent and theta = 170 deg. A comparison of this with the orientation of its optical and radio jet, reveals a difference of 40 deg. PKS 0537-441 showed a large change in the position angle over the week, with the polarization vector following a direction in the Q - U plane which suggests a nonrandom variation. The results are compared with previous measurements.
