The LMC old populous clusters are found to be markedly more elliptical
than the globular clusters of the Galaxy. The mean ellipticity, averaged
for 25 clusters, is 0.22. The distribution of true ellipticities,
corrected for projection effects, suggests that very few LMC clusters
are spherical, most having true ellipticities in the range 0.2-0.4.
